A dress a day...

Keeps the therapist away.

This little number is my latest creation. It turned out just how I dreamed it!

Oooooooh, one of my jumpers made it onto a Halloween blog this week!

Time to get started on my costume!

Are you kidding me??

"Is that a joke?"
That's usually what I'm thinking when some schmuck attempts to get fresh.

"Oh, hell no hunny. Look elsewhere."

I don't think anyone could have said it better than my dear friend Amanda Lyn:

"I love being pretty but, I wish men were more civilized!"

"American girl in Italy, 1951."

This is one of my favorite photos of all time taken by one of my favorite photographers of all time, Ruth Orkin.

Any lady(not woman, lady) would agree it is sooooooo annoying when men act barbaric or stare like it's the last pretty girl they will lay eyes on. However, what is exceptionally annoying is to know that the times have changed so much and they just don't mold men like they used to.

When this photo was taken any of those men probably would have loved to marry that beautiful woman...NOW, when a man looks at you all he (probably) wants to DO is...wellll, YOU. If your okay with that, then more power to you!

This is what looks ideal to me...

WHAT?? A girl can dream. Geeeeeeeeeeez.

Here's to having a world of my own.

Becoming whatever I want...

Cats and rabbits
Would reside in fancy little houses
And be dressed in shoes
And hats and trousers
In a world of my own

All the flowers
Would have very
Extra special powers
They would sit
And talk to me for hours
When I'm lonely
In a world of my own

There'd be new birds
Lots of nice and friendly
How-do'ya do birds
Everyone would have
A dozen blue birds
Within that world of my own

I could listen to a babbling brook
And hear a song that I could understand
I keep wishing it could be that way
Because my world would be a wonderland

Plucking ideas and sewing them into reality.

Giving my key to something special.

Setting EVERY thought free, even the ones I'd like to keep.

Capturing natural moments in my favorite form and treasuring them.

Collecting more knowledge and nonsense.

Rolling around, free.

You don't have to have a crown to be the princess.

Oooooh lala.

This is me acting like a scandalous tart.
This is Harold, the not so dumb dummy. I rescued him from a local Value village and was quite proud of my finding. He makes a great prop and he's cute too:)

These were taken during a vintage clothing photo shoot a few months back. I snapped a few sassy photo's in-between changing:) Funny because it is really unlike me to be so revealing. They turned out so cute though, I think I might make a calendar.

What a sweeeeeet wedding!

A while back lovely Adrienne bought her wedding dress from me!! I am just now getting around to blogging about it(hehe, I'm BAD!) Anyways, I thought it was pretty awesome! I even had replaced the zipper in the dress. After she purchased it she said that she found it had a penny sewn in the seam. Now, that's good luck! Here's to many years of happiness with her sweetheart!

Here are some pics of the awesome(vintage inspired) wedding.

Postsecret in SEATTLE, WA.

I recently found out that Frank Warren of Post Secret will be speaking at Seattle University on Thursday! I almost jumped out of my chair and did a happy dance:)! They will be letting students in first THEN the general public. I am crossing my fingers that I get a spot before it fills up.

I am not quite sure why I am sooooo drawn to postsecret. Most people seem to relate to it because of something specific that happened to them. I however, don't really have anything specific I need help or healing with. I love it because it is helping so many young people around the world.

It is so important for people to let go of negative feelings and energy in their lives. Life is so short, fulfilling your dreams and loving yourself is KEY! The sooner you let go of something OR someone who is holding you back...the sooner you can start achieving your goals and dreams.

Here are a few of my favorites:

A nice message and an old Seattle post card:)

Memories are what make us who we are today. They don't hold us back.

Put trust in yourself LONG before others.

Freedom to choose your own pathway is such a luxury.

What a darling vintage photo!

That's the ONLY way to think:)

Now, it's time to live your dreams and live them well.

I'm dreaming of the PERFECT living room.

One day...ONE DAY, I will be taking a break from my sewing room and sipping on a glass of wine while reading the paper in a living room that would go well with these:)
